The Nebraska Association of Non-Emergency Medical Transportation Professionals was founded on a simple but urgent idea: the people who transport Nebraska's most vulnerable residents to medical appointments deserve a professional home — a place to learn, advocate, and connect.
NEMT is a critical link in Nebraska's healthcare system. For thousands of Medicaid recipients, elderly residents, and individuals with disabilities, a non-emergency medical transport isn't just convenient — it's the only way to reach dialysis, chemotherapy, physical therapy, or a specialist appointment. Without reliable NEMT, missed appointments become missed treatments.
NANEMTP exists to support the providers, drivers, dispatchers, and administrators who make those trips happen every day — raising professional standards, sharing knowledge, and ensuring Nebraska's NEMT industry has a unified voice.
Michael L. Deal serves as the founding President of NANEMTP, bringing dedicated leadership to Nebraska's non-emergency medical transportation community. He is committed to building a strong professional association that supports providers of all sizes — from single-vehicle operators to large multi-county fleets.
We engage with Nebraska DHHS, Medicaid managed care organizations, and state legislators to represent the NEMT industry's interests and ensure our members' voices are heard.
From driver safety to billing compliance, we develop and promote training resources that help NEMT professionals meet their obligations and serve riders effectively.
We connect NEMT providers across Nebraska through meetings, working groups, and online resources — creating a peer community where members share challenges and solutions.
